ReplyDeleteWe can also use notebooks based survey to teach about pollution.To survey about pollution of water we can go to the river or lake which supply water to the household of the community and test the purity of water and note it in our notebooks and through our notes we can teach about pollution of water to the children ,so that they will know how to save water from pollution in there day to day life. We can also notes the pollution of air by surveying the air from one place to another and use it in the teaching learning process to make children understand about the pollution of air, if we don't stop cutting down of trees.

ReplyDeleteA note book based survey can be conducted during a field visit.Students can be asked to note down their findings of all living and non living things that they have explored on that particular period around the specific ecosystem.They may be birds of different beaks, wings, claws and the formation or type of rocks found on that site, types of plants mainly growing on that area and so on.

To survey the fact we can take the students to the roadside market and show them how people dirty the road and block the drains by throwing plastics every where so these things can be noted in the notebook for later reference.

This activity brings children closer to the life, when they talk to people doing diffrent occupations they begin learning to communicate so they develop communication. They also come in contact with other children enquiring about occupations of their parents, so in that way they develop observation skills. ReplyDeleteOne activity for learners to explore and investigate will be on the topic The Freedom Struggle.In this activity the class will be divided into groups and given a list of questions for which they will have to get the information either from the school library or any reliable source and write down in their note book.They will then have to share their information in the class and have a class discussion.By allowing them to explore and investigate on their own, this will enhance their learning in a meaningful way

ReplyDeleteWe can also use notebooks based survey to teach about pollution.To survey about pollution of water we can go to the river or lake which supply water to the household of the community and test the purity of water and note it in our notebooks and through our notes we can teach about pollution of water to the children ,so that they will know how to save water from pollution in there day to day life. We can also notes the pollution of air by surveying the air from one place to another and use it in the teaching learning process to make children understand about the pollution of air, if we don't stop cutting down of trees.

ReplyDeleteIn order to help the students understand the topic on Discrimination, a note book based survey can be conducted. Students can interview their family members, classmates, neighbours with some questions - Have they seen anybody being discriminated against? How do they feel when a person is being discriminated against? In what way was the person discriminated against? etc. Through such kind of survey, the students will understand that some groups of people can be treated unfairly due to their colour, caste, religion, gender etc. It will also help them to identify negative and discriminatory behaviour.

ReplyDeleteAn activity where a notebook based survey,it really does depend on the subject matter,but I have been lucky enough to teach subject matter which is directly related to my experience. I usually start my teaching with a personal experience related to the learning context, which often draws the students attention. I then ask the students if they have had a similar experience or event.In my experience, this method usually engaged the students as they see vocational relevance of their learning.

Here i will take one example to show that how survey help enhances learning a particular topic for students. I will take one example from Geography about " The Globe " .The activity that the students will have to do is to know about day and night by using a globe . A teacher need a touchlight to used at this activity. When the activity is started all the students are listen and looking carefully .A teacher on the touch light at this time one side of a globe will get fully light and one side will appeared dark. The place which has light get the day time and the part which got dark is the night time. To know better students have to take part by doing an activity. So students are divided into two groups, one group will stand from one place and the other group from one place . A teacher have to stand from one group and start to on the touch light , the students which stand from teacher's place will get day time and the other group will get night time, now the students have to exchange their places , this shows that the earth is rotated , the students from dark side have to move to the place where a teacher is there and the other group to the place where those students from dark side stand . A teacher on again the touch light and now those students which got the light they will get the dark side and those group of students which got dark side will get the light . Now both sides the students got to experince . So on this way it shows that by doing an activity the students will be able to know more about this topic .
