The learners are introduced to the diversity of people and their practices in different societies, regions and cultures within societies. Social sciences have an important role in generating sensitivity towards human values of compassion, trust, peace, cooperation, social justice, environmental protection and other concerns. It develops with one’s own social environment-self, family, social environment and its interaction with various geographical, historical, social, economic, and political factors. Familiarizing the learner with the dynamics in the evolution process is necessary so that she/he develops sufficient awareness to understand disciplinary values of these interlinked disciplines independently.

Environmental studies at the primary stage envisages exposing children to the real situations in their surroundings to help them connect ,be aware of,appreciate and be sensitized towards the prevailing environmental issues.It is all about learning the way we should live and how we can develop sustainable strategies to protect the environment.It helps individuals to develop an understanding of living and physical environment and how to resolve challenging environmental issues affecting nature.

  5. English language is generally taught and learned as a second language. The teacher is required to focus on providing learning opportunities to all learners.
    Also based on curricular expectations, a set of learning outcomes for class has also been developed, like for e.g., the learner would know how to recites poem/ rhymes with actions, recognises letters and their sounds A-Z, etc.

Social Science and Science subjects are related to each in some topics and lessons which we can practice the integrating method by analyzing and identifying the contents of the two subjects which are correlated to each and either of the topics.we have to be careful in planning the lesson for a specific topic.

  14. In the English subject, Class VI, the Learning Outcomes in the NCERT document are not quite related to the syllabus. Apart from the fact that learners are encouraged to write grammatically correct sentences, draft short paragraphs, read and respond verbally and in writing to questions, there are no specific outcomes expected like life lessons or concepts which defeats the purpose of teaching literature.

Referring to the syllabus of mathematics subject of class 7 in NCERT and MBOSE syllabus,they are more or less alike.Although the learning outcome of both the syllabus are designed in the same way but NCERT syllabus is vast ,lenghthy ,more details and also recommend lots of useful activities compared to MBOSE .

  24. Referring to the syllabus of Social Science subject of class V in NCERT and Meghalaya Board of School Education conten to the syllabus are alike.But the NCERT syllabus are greater in number compared to the Meghalaya Board of School Education.

    The outcome of learning of both the syllabus are practically designed in the same way.

  30. Taking into consideration the subject social science , the NCERT and State syllabus are more or less the same.The only difference is the depth of concept in the book.In NCERT a few concept are taught in depth while in state board many topic are taken and explained in exam point of view.

Referring to the current syllabi of both NCERT and Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) regarding the subject Health Education in Class V, we see that they are more or less in the same line, except for the fact that the syllabus of NCERT is more vast, more in depth and contains more activities than the syllabus of MBOSE. The learning outcome of the students as such is more or less the same.

Environmental Studies (EVS) at the primary stage envisages exposing children to the real situations in their surroundings to help them connect, be aware of, appreciate and be sensitized towards the prevailing environmental issues (natural, physical, social and cultural). Beginning with child’s immediate surroundings (including natural, social, physical and cultural settings) related to self, home, school and family in the early grades and gradually moving on to the wider environment (neighbourhood and community at large), EVS not only helps children to get acquainted with their own environment but it also strengthens their bond with it.

There is not much difference in the learning outcomes in subject or class in elementary Stage. in some state, NCERT books are made mandatory and are replaced by state board books and vice versa. As per the Latest NCERT Syllabus for Class 8 (elementary stage) Students have 5 major subjects namely Maths, Science, English, Hindi and Social Science in their curriculum but some state syllabus are valuable subjects.
    In state board syllabus, some of the contents are written in a simple manner and it is understandable to read. The portion in NCERT is similar to that of state board, As we noticed, the difference is the depth of concept in the book. In NCERT a few concepts are taught in depth. While in state board many topics are taken and explained in exam point of view and some in details depend on the matter related of the topic content. While some State syllabus or topics content are explained deeply vice versa to NCERT syllabus.

I am not referring to all the chapters but this syllabus helps the students to have basic understanding about nutrition in plants and animals and not only animals move plants also spread their roots for nutrition and water. It helps students to have basic understanding about acids, bases and salts and about solutions, solubility and to know what is motion and time and about electric current and sound. In talking about learning outcome students will have to know and learn from this syllabus and to test students abilities teachers can assess them in the examinations.   75. When into the learning outcomes refer to the Syllables of our State and of the NECRT documents in Elementary stages there are no big differences. NECRT the methodology are more dept,while our State Board are written in in simpler forms. But if we come into the Environmental Studies in Primary Level are written in such a way that the students come to know the reality of beauty and importance of all the creatures of living beings and non- living beings are very important and useful to their daily life. So they come to understand that each and everyone have the right to preserve and protect the environment for the benefits of mankind, for better future.

Most of the subjects that we taught in the school from elementary school to primary school they have link when it come to higher education,in Environment Science if the students have a good foundation or understanding well in the classroom it will make them easier when they reach the higher level of learning therefore as a teacher we should teach the children and make them understand and we should not encourage them to learn by heart by to learn with understanding it will remain in their minds and they can relate when they reach in the highest level of learning

The Science syllabus in primary school is organized around topics such as plants, animals, food and digestion, environment etc. The curriculum creates awareness among students about their surroundings related to daily life such as plant, animals,food, water etc. It helps students develop various skills through interaction with their immediate surroundings.   93. Regarding the syllabus of Mathematics on elementary stage in my state there is a little difference comparing to the ncert learning outcomes. Learning outcomes in the Ncert documnets on elementary stage are way more advance compare to the the syllabus provided in my state. The two are very much related but some of the learning outcomes provided by the ncert in the subject mathematics cannot fulfilled in the elementary satge.

For class vi, in the subjects of Science and Health Education are which we can integrate most lessons and topics by analyzing and identifying the topics that are similar or closely correlated to each other.As a teacher we have lot of things to do to make improvements of the students skills and understanding by borrowing the topics or relevant contents from one subject matter to touch the points with the other subject which we find it very helpful sometimes solve the some issues without diluting the basic components of the subject and the lessons.

The learners are introduced to the diversity of people and their practices in different societies, regions and cultures within societies. Social sciences have an important role in generating sensitivity towards human values of compassion, trust, peace,cooperation, social justice, environmental protection, human right and other concerns. It develops with one’s own social environment-self, family, social environment and its interaction with various geographical, historical, social, economic, and political factors. However if to state one differenc between these two syllabus, the difference would only be that the NCERT content provided are more vast in comparison to Meghalaya state board(MBOSE).
