Our students need to be engaged in learning in a different variety of ways, like co operative learning it involves students working together in order to achieve or accomplish shared goals by motivating, helping and supporting each other. When students work together with cooperation they learn to listen what others have to say, to give and receive helps and also in resolving problems properly.

DeleteStudents usually learn in different ways be it in group or individual learning.But, in group it will help them to work or learn efficiently together.they will have clear objectives,communicate efficiently ,build consensus,define roles,stick to the plan and so on.To work or learn in group ,students need to collaborate and work together towards a common goal.

It can be used for marking assignments, class participation, or overall grades.so rubric is an explicit set of criteria used for assessing a particular type of work or performance and provides more details than a single grade or mark. Rubrics, therefore, will help a teacher grade more objectively.

Reason can be due to the fact that the rubrics assesment assess each and every students at individual performamce even though using the same levels, criteria and or parameters of the rubrics assessment tool. The level of performances of every students may differe for many reasons viz opinion, intellectual etc.

Some learn more by seeing, some learn more by listening, some learn more by doing.We need to know them and motivate them to co-oparate with each other.As per my observation they learn more by doing whether in groups or alone.

Not all learning activities in a learning situation can be grouped as individual or group learning activities which can be assessed by using Rubrics because the strategy of learning is different for different activities..Though Rubric is an assessment tool but depending on the situation it will justify the explanation as to why a particular grade is being given..Assessment can be self,peer or group assessment where an individual is being assessed choosing the best suited methods for cooperative learning as a group or individual learning Where tools used will solely depend on the strategy adopted.

For some performances, we observe the students in the process of doing something, for other performances we observe the product that is the result of the students' work. We have to think the types of performances we might assess with rubrics.

But without careful planning and facilitation, group work can frustrate students and instructors and feel like a waste of time.The point of group work is that being social significantly enhances learning. Not only do you have to hear others’ perspectives, you also have to compare, contrast and integrate their perspectives into your own thinking. Perhaps someone else’s perspective will change your mind or show weaknesses in your own ideas. Only through engaging with others can your perspectives change.

Every students have their own capabilities and capacities in different fields . Some students learn faster when they are in a group and some students learn faster and can concentrate more when they are alone. So as a teacher we should try to understand their capabilities and try to help them out. Teachers also can observe their overall academic perfomance and according the marks they score we should find the solution so how can we improve students perfomance in particular subjects or area.

No,not all learning activities can provided in a learning situation be grouped as individual or group learning activities and assessed by using rubrics as rubrics are good for much more than just grading or scoring.Like any other evaluation tool, rubrics are useful for certain purposes and not for others.The main purpose of rubrics is to assess performances.For some performances, teacher observe the student in the process of doing something, like using an electric drill or discussing an issue.For other performances, teacher observe the product that is the result of the student's work like written report.So we have to opt the types of performances we might assess with rubrics as assessment can be self,peer or group assessment where an individual is being assessed choosing the best suited method.

Teacher can instruct before the activity and let the students perform the activity in group wise. Before the end of given time the teacher can inspect whether the group activity has completed or not and give instructions to all those who have not complete it so that they can complete within a given period of time
