The RTE across the country is becoming the most promising example/role model for elementary schools under free and compulsory statutes being focused by the Central as well as the States, because the initiatives has been implemented through SSA or RMSA type of Schools for obtaining a standard of overall and holistic development of a child enjoying the benefits of undetaining policy rather pushing it towards the higher education without charging any burden or fees on children. This method has impacted positively upon the those children who were unable to afford to go to schools where fees were charged. This system have an achievement in cratering to educate the millions of non-schooling children owing to the false believe or superstitious on the one hand and poverty and inaffordability on the other hand that were prevalent in the last decades.
ReplyDeleteThe innovative practice being carried out in our state during this covid pandemic crisis is by supplying rice and financial assistance to students from classes 1 to viii as part of the mid -day meal programme.Parents came to collect the same from school. This is very helpful to the families of students especially daily wage earners who are deprived of economic activities due to lockdowm. Our organisation (school) also took the innitiative of supplying xerox copies of notes and worksheets free of cost to students who do not have access to smart phones and internet facilities besides giving free education to students of LP and UP sections as majority of students are from economically weaker sections of the society.
ReplyDeleteThe RTE under SSA or RMSA has certain prominent achievements which were not cratered before to free and compulsory elementary education in the last few decades. After all across the country the millions of previously never-enrolled students have been enjoying benefaction of free schooling with a facility of free textbooks and mid-day-meal having been rendering the standard of an overall and holistic development irrespective of caste, creed, gender and culture without which were not possible. However, this initiative is not enough while we turns out ourselves to compare with the global educational advancement and initiatives, the digitization of education systems and uses of technological equipments in teaching and learning classrooms in schools are need of the time and era that still we have a long ways to reach those goals, but joining our hands together will help us to run steadily towards the goal.

The results showed that out of total respondents selected for the study 80% farmers perceived that IASF had increased their knowledge of agricultural practices, 20% farmers reported cost and time saving and 27% percent farmers reported influence in their decision making ability through ‘Mobile Crop Doctor’. Similarly, it was found that 60% farmers received capacity building support from EFCs, 33% farmers reported influence in their decision making ability and 27% famers had a better access to credit with the help of EFCs. ReplyDeleteKambel Chulai, is a Class III dropout from Jowai in Meghalaya. He had to join an
automobile workshop as an apprentice in his early teens due to financial constraints and
since then has moonlighted in many roles.
In 1988-89, Kambel first observed that the traditional method of cremation was highly polluting, time consuming, very costly and also difficult during the rainy season. In order
to eliminate these problems he started working on low cost crematorium. In 1995 he
developed a conceptual model and in 1999 the prototype of his innovation was developed with the help of the Sein Raij (the local social and religious organization) which initially
rejected it as they did not want technology to take over tradition.
The first cremation took place on June 21, 2003, exactly a month following the first
crematorium inauguration. Now, almost 80 per cent of cremations take place in this structure. The government of Meghalaya has woken up to the positive side of this invention and is helping the Sein Reij with financial aid to build the second crematorium in Jowai. He won the award in NIF’s Third National Competition for Grassroots Innovations and Traditional
Knowledge Practices in 2005.

ReplyDeleteThe National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 is a game changer. The intention is to take the country into a new era of trained human resources. This is in consonance with the idea that an efficient and effective human talent/resource is the key element for growth and development. In the contemporary school of thought, money and capital counts for a lot less in significance as compared to human ability. That way, it can be said that the NEP has got the environmental analysis absolutely right.

ReplyDeleteEducation is fundamental for achieving full human potential, developing an equitable
ReplyDeleteand just society, and promoting national development. Providing universal access to quality
education is the key to economic growth, social justice and equality, scientific advancement,
national integration and cultural preservation; and for India’s continued ascent, progress, and
leadership on the global stage. India will have the highest youth population in the world over
the next decade, and our ability to provide high-quality educational opportunities to them
will shape the future of our country. undergoing rapid changes in the knowledge landscape. With the rise of big
data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, many unskilled jobs worldwide may be
taken over by machines, while the need for skilled labour, particularly involving
mathematics, computer science and data science, in conjunction with multi-disciplinary
abilities across the sciences, social sciences and humanities, will be in rapidly increasing
demand. With climate change and rapid depletion of natural resources, there will be a sizable
shift in how we meet the world’s energy, water, and sanitation needs, again resulting in the
need for new skilled labour, particularly in biology, chemistry, physics, and climate science.
There will be a growing demand for humanities and art, as India moves towards becoming a
developed country and among the three largest economies in the world.
0.3. Indeed, with the quickly changing employment and global ecosystem, it is becoming
increasingly important that children not only learn but learn how to learn. Education must
thus, move towards less content, and more towards learning about how to think critically and
solve problems, how to be creative and multi-disciplinary, and how to innovate, adapt, and
absorb new material in novel and changing fields. While learning by rote can be beneficial in
specific contexts, pedagogy must evolve to make education more experiential, holistic,
integrated, discovery-oriented, learner-centred, discussion-based, flexible, and, of course,
enjoyable. The curriculum must include basic arts, crafts, humanities, games, sports and
fitness, languages, literature, culture, and values, in addition to science and mathematics, to
develop all aspects of learners’ brains and make education more well-rounded, useful, and
fulfilling to the learner. Education must build character, enable learners to be ethical,
rational, compassionate, and caring, while at the same time prepare them for gainful,
fulfilling employment.
